Training on Safety and Health Issues

   

Health and Safety in the Workplace

Usual course length: 1 day

Courses cover the following areas:

  • Defining Health and Safety, and understanding the costs and benefits to businesses of poor/good health and safety
  • Clarifying the main features of current Health and Safety legislation, and the responsibilities of employers and employees
  • Identifying common hazards in the workplace and the accidents and injuries they cause
  • Outlining control measures for the most common workplace hazards
  • Explain the significance of health and safety policies and good working practices

On successful completion of a multiple choice test at the end of the training, participants will be accredited with the Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace Level 2 by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH).

The exam papers cost approx £15 each.
