Acquired Brain Injury: An Introduction

Usual course length: 1 day

Courses can be tailor-made from the following elements:

  • Defining the term acquired brain injury and describing the range of causes and conditions to which this term refers
  • Understanding the potential impacts of acquired brain injury and living with brain injury
  • Gaining knowledge of some up to date approaches to rehabilitation; treatment and best practice in service delivery
  • Applying their understanding to their work with service users living with acquired brain injury particularly how to support a person through appropriate communication and with decision-making, using the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
