The internet is now a daily part of all our lives presenting many opportunities and possibilities.  It also presents a range of risks and issues that can have significant and harmful impact.  It is important that we raise our awareness to what these various risks are and how we can enable others that we work with to keep safe online.
 
Our course will provide information about online risks and raise your awareness on strategies in order to support others to keep safe.
 
The course will cover:
 
  • Understanding the various risk factors of being online
  • Learning about the potential opportunities of social media and the risks
  • Identifying who is at particular risk and how they are targeted online
  • How professionals can begin to engage in conversations about keeping safe online
  • Where to access further support and information
  • Resources and tools to use
 
The training will include group discussion, reviewing digital material as well as trainer’s input.
